ReinHoo 48-LED Rechargeable Clip-On Desk Lamp

Why this one

The one pick that is genuinely cordless and still bright enough to work by: 450 lumens, a colour rendering figure of Ra 90+ that most of this list does not publish, and an 11.8 in gooseneck that turns 360 degrees. It clips, stands free or hangs on a wall, remembers its last brightness, and dims before cutting out when the battery is low. Two things to ignore: the listing claims stepless dimming and nine levels in the same breath, and no wattage is stated anywhere.

What it had to clear

• 4000mAh battery, USB-C, and the listing says it runs while charging
• 450 lumens with Ra 90+ across five colour modes from 3000K to 6500K
• clips to edges up to 2 in and weighs 9.6 oz, so it moves to a shelf lip
