About DreamDec

DreamDec exists because most home-decor advice assumes you own your home. It assumes you can drill into the wall, swap out the light fittings, put a bed frame where it looks best and live with the marks when you move out.

We only cover spaces where none of that is true: a rented bedroom, a corner of a shared flat, a studio where the desk has to fold away at night. Every product we rank has to satisfy two things — it solves a real space problem, and it can be removed without damaging the wall or the deposit.

We publish short lists of one product type at a time, usually five to eight items, because comparing eight under-bed drawers against each other is useful and comparing a lamp against a shelf against a rug is not. The constraints we screen against are printed at the top of every guide, so you can check our work rather than take it on trust.

One thing we are honest about: we do not buy every product and film ourselves using it. We read the published load ratings, the dimensions, the warranty, and the complaints that repeat across hundreds of owner reviews, and we reject anything that fails on those. Where a claim cannot be verified from the listing, the guide says so instead of guessing.
